ACSM Health & Fitness Site - The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) provides this basic information about designing your exercise program.

America on the Move™ - This national campaign helps individuals manage weight through increasing physical activity and decreasing calorie intake by making small daily changes. It has tools for tracking physical activity, email reminders and motivators, tips for making food and activity changes.

CDC Physical Activity Site - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offer information on the importance of physical activity and how to make it a part of your life. The site includes many links to other resources on physical activity.

Choose to Move - Choose to Move is a free on-line, 12-week physical activity program for women sponsored by the American Heart Association.

ShapeUp America! - Shape Up America! is a national initiative to promote healthy weight and increased physical activity in America. This site contains interactive quizzes, resources and information, and diet and exercise tips for maintaining healthy weight and physical activity.

Small Steps - Smallstep.gov is the latest campaign from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to give consumers information they need to increase physical activity and lose weight. Sign up for e-newsletters and physical activity trackers. Available in Spanish.

Staying Active for Seniors - This site is sponsored by AARP, the national association for people over 50 years of age. It contains practical information about how to incorporate physical activities like walking and strength training into daily routines. Available in Spanish.

Take the Physical Activity Challenge! - The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and WebMD® have teamed up to provide information on how individuals and families can incorporate physical activity into their lives.
